Tuesday, 6th July 2010

Well today started off wonderful... with the scales telling me I was all of 58.7kg!  Yey!

However, I didn't do my run last night (I have a mild virus so am making excuses!) and I haven't been keeping track of my food.  I went a little wild tonight with some KFC and a Macca's sundae but I will make sure I do some extra exercise.

Just had to write that down for accountability!

Monday 5th July 2010

So I didn't keep my food diary going over the weekend, however I have scored a loss of 600g - I am now 59.4kg!  So happy the scale went down! lol

This weeks goal:

Get into the 58kg range with a 500g + loss

This weeks running program:
Monday.. 25min run
Wednesday... interval training
Friday... 35min run

Walk on the other days, and I will do some crunches and squats on those three mornings as well!

Food wise I am doing okay just in not indulging in a full block of chocolate every night! lol But I would like to get more vegies and salad, and keep my protein lean.  I need to get my fibre up as well - I like the benefibre stuff, and I really like the yakults.  oh, and I need to up the water of course, but it is winter!

Quite happy with the progress so far!

Tuesday the 29th of June

ARgh, after a great day yesterday todays calories went over a bit.  I had two mini double choc muffins which even tasted dry and yucky which were like 100cals each even though they were tiny as, and I had a piece of cake with caramel slice for icing! Still, I should be under 1500 cals which is still good.  My protein and fibre is still low even though I am getting the fat way over!

I had plenty of water and went for a 40min slow walk with Jayden this afternoon.

No cheating tomorrow! lol

5 Weeks to go!

So the next race is in 5 weeks from today... so 1st of August.  Time to plan!

The goal is to get under the 5k in under 30mins but I don't know what the track is going to be like!  Hopefully no hills - unlike last time!  31:51 is my time to beat!

So the goal is: get 5kg lighter, and a bit faster!

I went for a walk around my 5k tonight and will have to do a build up week this week to get back into it without hurting myself!  So I think tomorrow night I will do two ten minute runs with a 5min walk in between and then do the thirty minutes on Wednesday and again on Friday.  Next week I will start my training properly.  I will have to do some strength training and stretching as well, and my meditation at night.  I'm keeping my cals under 2000 with 1200 net being the goal.

Let's hope I can keep it up!

The final Day

 

Well the Bouncing Bunnies Easter Challenge is now over.  Final weigh-in at 60.1kg but I will live.. lol.  I know that I did get under the 60kg in the last week, twice even, so I know that I am getting there.

 

I am now listening to the Gabriel Method on audio CD and finding it enlightening!  Audio-books rock!

 

I am thinking of moving on to a 12 week challenge now and setting myself up with realistic goals for slowly losing this weight without it over taking my entire life!

C25K Graduate – confidence rocks!

That is right.. I have completed the Couch 2 5K program! 

It feels awesome by the way!  Although I don’t quite run 5k in the 30mins, I am getting closer to it! 

My 5k race is on next weekend (not this one, the one after) which is also the weekend of my paper critique.  I am feeling amazingly confident that I can get in and do both quite successfully.

Yes, my confidence is doing quite well, though socially I am still feeling behind the eight ball.  I know that I am quite capable, intelligent, and am full of determination and spirit, but part of me is still afraid of how others perceive me – so much so that I think I come across as big noting myself.  I guess that can be my next challenge – to stop boasting or even hinting and looking for compliments!  It is a fine line though.. between having confidence and being an arrogant jerk!   Fingers crossed I find that balance!

Keeping my eye on the prize.

 

I am getting frustrated.  I am not losing weight.  I know it is my own fault for indulging in chocolate and being otherwise frivolous with my calorie intake!

Time to get the food right and stop being lazy!

 

I also need to start up my 10mins of exercise each morning as well!
